Orlando Harper
Orlando wants to give a lift to an international women’s rugby team who give everything to their sport. Working for Northern Gas Networks and having played competitive rugby himself, he knows how much dedication it takes to show up week after week, especially when resources are tight. So he’s using the $500 to support the Reggae Warriors, a team whose commitment and spirit inspire younger girls who don’t often see themselves represented in rugby. The funding will help ease some of the everyday pressures of the season, contributing towards travel to matches, training equipment, kit and the small essentials that keep a team going. Orlando also plans to include a few morale-boosting touches like travel comforts, healthy snacks and hydration support for long away days. It’s a simple way of paying it forward to a group of women who lead with heart every time they step onto the pitch.
