@Kristi_clif
Kristi is turning cupboards of forgotten puzzles into a neighbourhood ritual. Working in education and raising two “unruly, precious” boys, she knows the value of simple, screen-free moments that bring people together. Her idea is to create a Free Puzzle Library in her neighbourhood - much like a Little Free Library, but dedicated entirely to jigsaws.
Because once you’ve built a puzzle once… then what? Too often they gather dust or get discarded. Kristi wants to create a space where neighbours can swap, share and rediscover them - giving each puzzle many lives instead of just one.
With $500, she’ll build and stock the library with a range of puzzles for different ages and abilities, inviting families, friends and older residents alike to borrow one, complete it, and pass it on. In a world of endless doomscrolling, her project offers something slower and more mindful - a table, a challenge, and the quiet satisfaction of fitting the pieces together side by side.
