Kaylee is championing the dogs others overlook. A volunteer with a local rescue organisation, she spends her time supporting “perfectly imperfect” pups - dogs who can’t walk, can’t see, or live with unique medical conditions. While many shelters struggle to place high-need animals, this organisation leans in, offering them care, dignity and a real shot at life.

With $500, Kaylee will sponsor 3–5 of these high-need dogs, helping fund critical medical treatments, mobility equipment and ongoing care. But her idea goes beyond the practical. She’ll document their progress as a Dog Story Series - sharing their journeys, milestones and personalities to shine a light on what’s possible when compassion outweighs convenience.

By pairing tangible support with storytelling, Kaylee hopes not only to improve the lives of a handful of dogs, but to shift perceptions - proving that “imperfect” pups are more than worthy of love, attention and a future filled with tail wags.
