Meagan is on a mission to do for generosity what’s been done for gratitude, self-described as the “unpaid intern for Generosity Inc.” Her idea is rooted in the memory of her friend Laura — someone who made the world more beautiful simply by being in it. After Laura passed away just after completing the Big Sur Half Marathon, her family and friends will return to run it in her honour. Meagan is using the $500 to leave something living and lasting along the course Laura once ran — wildflowers, a tree, or a small piece of natural beauty that strangers will encounter for years to come. A quiet, anonymous gesture that reflects Laura’s spirit, and a reminder that perhaps the most generous thing we can do is leave the world more beautiful than we found it.
