Adailton is supporting two young Black sisters to tell their community’s story. An audiovisual educator with a deep love for cinema, Adailton was moved by the initiative of Jéssica (15) and Isabelly (13), two aspiring filmmakers from Alvorada in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, Brazil. In 2024, as devastating floods hit their region, the sisters picked up their phones and began documenting the real stories of those living through the tragedy. In 2025, determined to sharpen their skills, they enrolled in a basic professional audiovisual course.

With $500, Adailton will cover their transport and course costs so they can attend the intermediate module, as well as support the professional editing and post-production of the documentary they’ve already begun. Once complete, he will help them submit the film to student festivals — ensuring a story told through the lens of two young Black girls from the outskirts can travel beyond their neighbourhood and touch hearts far and wide.
