One of her patients suffers from epilepsy and is having to wait 6 months for the treatment he needs - cannabidiol, a legalised medicine that clinical trials report reductions of up to 50% in tonic–clonic seizure frequency. With $500, she is able to provide this treatment for him until he is able to secure a government-funded supply.
